项目概况

    本项目对长约4公里的珠海路和中山路及相关周边地带进行维修改造和商业旅游开发。主要包括：市政管线和道路的改造；建筑维修和改造；老城整治和改造；北海的历史文化、海洋文化、外来文化的展示；旅游设施建设、旅游商品开发和商业配置等。

    珠海路和中山路是具有传统南国风格建筑特色的老城区，如天主教堂、旧海关和旧邮局等古老建筑的存在，可折射出北海传统的本地生活方式和对外文化交往的历史痕迹，是一种宝贵的文化遗产和可供开发的资源。对老城区进行保护和开发，既可延续历史、继承文化、提高北海的文化品位，还能对北海的经济发展起到积极的促进作用。

    Protection & Transformation of Beihai Old Town

    Project Description:

    Maintenance and commercialized tourism development of Zhuhai Road, Zhongshan Road and neighboring region, stretching 4 kilometers long. The proposed project includes transformation of municipal pipeline and road network, maintenance and transformation of architectures, renovation of Old Town, exhibition of historical culture, maritime culture and external culture, construction of service facilities, development of tourist products and construction of related commercial infrastructures.

    Zhuhai Road and Zhongshan Road are located in Beihai Old Town with traditional style of southern countries. Such old architectures as Catholicism church, old customs and old post office reflect local traditional life style and international cultural exchanges of that historical time, which are precious cultural heritages and resources for development. The protection and transformation of old town will reveal history, inherit culture, raise local cultural level and promote local economic development as well.
