On October 29th, at the China-ASEAN Port Development and Cooperation Forum, Yang Xidao, Vice governor of Guangxi province, indicated that Guangxi has gain profound achievement from five aspects through taking part in Pan Beibu Gulf conomic cooperation:

    1.The programs of Pan Beibu Gulf economic area, and programs of port and city development have formulated.

    2.The constructions of basic facilities on the coastal areas have developed rapidly. Railways, highways, airport in Guangxi province are being on great improvement.

    3. Important industries establish in Pan Beibu Gulf economic area, including refinery and electric power plant.

    4. Guangxi Pan Beibu Gulf Development and Investment Company have been established, and preparing to constrcut Pan Beibu Gulf Bank.

    5. Fang Chenggang, Qinzhou and Beihai, the three port cities established Guangxi Pan Beibu Gulf International Business Company which mainly plan, construct and manage the three port cities.
