
The Fourth China-ASEAN Expo opened on October 28th in Nanning, Guangxi Province. China vice Premier Zeng Peiyan, Brunei AL-Muhtadee Billah, Cambodia Prime Minister Hun Sen, Laos Premier Bouasone, and Vietnam Premier Nguyen Tan Dung attended the opening ceremony.
This expo will last four days, including four parts:
commodity and trade; investment and cooperation; applicable agriculture
technology; charming city. There are about 3400 exhibit rooms and 1908
enterprises take part in this expo. Indonesia, Malaysia, Burma, Thailand,
Vietnam have their individual exhibition rooms.
In 2003, China Premier Wen Jiabao proposed to hold
the China-ASEAN Expo; this proposal was warmly welcomed by leaders of ASEAN
countries. In 2004, the First China-ASEAN Expo was held in Nanning, Guangxi
Province. Until now, China-ASEAN Expo has successfully held three times,
participable enterprises and the deal amount increases year by year. From this
expo on, there will start a country theme. One or two ASEAN countries take
responsibility for the theme, and hold a series of activities.
